It was so beautiful outside today, and I'm glad I got to enjoy some sun. I've been seeing a lot of layering of necklaces around lately, and have been wanting to give it a try. I only started out with two, but I really liked how it turned out! It felt nice to get a little glammed up to make an ordinary day feel a little more special.

Winter Cozies

Unfortunately, I am pretty weaksauce when it comes to the cold, so I've been really thankful that it's been warming up here in Cali. However, it still gets pretty chilly during the evenings, which I guess gives me a good excuse to slip on the winter wear. Nothing like a comfy sweater, boots, and a soft scarf to make you feel nice and cozy! Hope you all have a lovely day, and are keeping warm on these chilly nights!

Life has been feeling pretty mundane these past couple of weeks. I feel like I've been stuck in a rut, and it's been challenging to try to find my way out of it. Since I've been feeling really bored, I think I've also  been dressing accordingly. I really wanted to change things up, and to play around with colors and texture. I think my Wednesday brightened up a bit. Hopefully getting through the rest of the week will be a breeze, and the long weekend will bring some new adventures!

Here is a little somethin' somethin' that I just put together for work. Haha this was definitely a nice change from my usual polka dots and bows. I also really love how this dress has kind of a floating quality to it. I really hope that the hi-low and peplum trends stay current because I keep buying them!

I can't believe the year is almost ending though. It's crazy how 2012 has just flown by. This year has definitely been filled with many ups and downs, but it has also been such a learning experience for me. This year has taught me the value of humility, the necessity of responsibility and the importance of appreciating what I already have. Last New Years, a friend pointed out that people should make resolutions all year long and not just at the start of a new one. I thought that was such wise advice, and will also carry this out in 2013. Here is to getting healthier, finding a better job, spending more time with family and friends, and finally getting to meet one direction (this willll happen!). I'm really excited to share this hat that I made! I found this mint yarn at the 99 cents store of all places, and I thought it would be cute to make something with it. Yay for dollar store crafts! As it would take way too long to make an entire scarf, I decided to make a hat instead. I decided to add the pearls later on, and I'm really glad how it turned out. I think they add the perfect touch of femininity and glamour. My grandma even complimented me on it! If you have an Asian grandmother, you'll totally understand how rare getting praise is! I think I might make a couple of these for Christmas gifts, since it was a fun and pretty simple project!
